The work involved improving and upgrading the urban road infrastructure to meet the ever increasing traffic demands and accommodate current land use and development planning. As a part of this plan, the client decided to upgrade interchanges at 3 locations in Jahra Governorate on the 5th Ring Road. IC-10: The Intersection of Jahra Central Road and Jahra Motorway IC-08: The Intersection of sixth Ring Motorway and Jahra Motorway IC-02: Fifth Ring Motorway, South Doha Area (Qeirawan) The main works consisted, Site clearance & disposal of debris, Roadway & Trough works; complete construction of highway drainage and pumping station, complete construction of overhead gantry signs, post mounted direction signs, warning, regulatory and information signs and road markings. Water lines construction including relocation of existing water pipelines, supply and installation of complete street lighting system, Electrical works included relocation of existing electrical power & Lines 132kv and overhead lines of 11kv (lines & poles). Installation of 11 kv & 132 kv utility duct & irrigation pipe sleeves. Construction of vegetation, waste water drainage system. Gas pipe line construction including removal of existing gas pipe lines.
