The Ministry of Public Works (MPW), Kuwait has awarded Contract No. RA/248 – Design, Build and Maintain Temporary Elevated U-Turns along Nuwaiseeb Road (Group A and Group B), worth KD 12.6m, to two companies: Mushrif Trading & Contracting Co., KSCP and Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC).

Group A contract, worth KD 6.5m, was awarded to CCC, while Group B contract, worth KD 6.1m, was awarded to MUSHRIF.

The scope of work calls for the design, construction, completion and maintenance of elevated U-Turns at Nuwaiseeb Highway. The project also includes the dismantling and relocation of a portion of the existing 33kV overhead cables. A total of eight U-turns are to be completed at four different locations along the 55Km Nuwaiseeb Highway. Group A covers four U-Turns at the Julaia and Restaurant Area locations, while Group B covers the remaining four U-Turns at the Wafra/Al Zour Interchange and Khiran locations.
